Our story
1999
- May 31st – Dan King was founded as the first Italian coffee company in Kazakhstan.
- June 23rd – First installation of a coffee espresso & cappuccino machine in the American Embassy in Almaty.
- August 5th – Official registration of the company "Dan King" with Headquarters in Almaty.
- October 10th – First cargo import from Italy.
2001
- June – Opening of new office in Aksay.
- June – First Italian-style bartender school in Almaty in partnership with Tosteria del Corso.
2002
- January – Opening of new office in Atyrau.
- May – Opening of new office in Aktau.
- September – First trip to Italy for staff training purposes.
2003
- March – Opening of new office in Astana.
- June – Second Italian-style bartender school in Almaty in partnership with Tosteria del Corso.
2004
- February – Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on technical support services.
- May/July – A professional Italian gelato-making trainer from Fugar, Inc. demonstrates the art of home-made ice cream to our customers.
2005
- May – Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on business operations.
- September – A professional Italian bartender from Fabbri Inc. trains our customers on how to prepare beverages with coffee and syrups.
2006
- February – Dan King's staff is trained in Moscow on vending service.
- November - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on business operations.
2007
- May – Opening of official branch in Astana.
- September – Opening of new office in Karaganda.
- October - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on technical support services.
2008
- February – Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on sales and customer service.
- May – A programmer from the Italian firm Digisoft installs Vega Software to control and manage our vending machines.
2010
- January – Restructuring of the firm into three business units to enhance efficiency.
- February – Dan King's staff is trained in Italy and Holland on coffee service.
- March - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on vending service.
- May - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on food service.
- May - A professional Italian bartender from Fabbri, Inc. conducts product use demonstrations for our customers in Almaty, Astana, and Karaganda on how to prepare beverages with coffee and syrups.
- November – Official presentation in Almaty & Astana by the consortium of Parmigiano Reggiano.
2011
- March – Events in Almaty and Astana with the world champion barista 2009 Gwilyem Davis.
2012
- February - Dan King's staff is trained in Moscow on coffee services.
- March - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on technical support service.
- March - Events in Almaty and Astana with Italian chefs from food industry leaders Mutti and Riso Gallo.
- June – We invite two Italian chefs from Figna and Agugiaro to show our customers how to make pizza with Italian flour.
- September – Opening of new office in Pavlodar.
2013
- January - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on food service.
- April - Dan King's staff is trained in Italy on technical support service.
- April - A professional Italian bartender from Fabbri, Inc. trains our customers in the preparation of beverages with new hot coffee drinks and new syrups.
- May - Dan King's staff is trained in Moscow on vending machine operations.
- July – Opening of new office in Chemkent.
- October – A trainer from SCAE ( Specialty Coffee Association Europe) trains Dan King's staff on SCAE Barista 1.
- October – Dan King's Top management received training week about management and marketing in Turkey.
- November – A pastry chef from Agugiaro&Figna, Inc. teaches our customers how to bake like a pro with Italian flour.
- December - A trainer from SCAE trains Dan King's staff on SCAE Barista 2.
2014
- March - Events in Almaty & Astana with an Italian chef from Demetra, Inc.
- April - A professional Italian bartender from Fabbri, Inc. trains our customers on most successful ways to prepare hot coffee drinks including the use of new syrups.
- July - Opening of new office in Aktube.
- July - A pastry chef from Agugiaro&Figna, Inc. shows our customers how to bake like a pro with Italian flour.
- September – Dan King's staff attends training courses in Italy organized by Coffee Service. After taking the SCAE exam, our staff obtains the autorized SCAE Trainer (AST) Authorization for Kazakhstan.
- December – Opening of new office in Usk Kamenagorsk.
2015
- January - Opening of new Dan King & SCAE coffee training centers in Almaty and Astana.
- January - Continuing restructuring of the firm adding the fourth business unit to enhance efficiency.
- April – Events in Almaty & Astana with Fabbri bartender Pedro Garcia Spain flaring champion and with Dario Ciarlantini President of SCAE Italy.
- May - Dan King’s staff is trained in Italy on food service visiting also EXPO 2015 and TUTTO FOOD exhibition fair.
- September - Dan King’s Top Management is trained in Italy visiting suppliers and also EXPO 2015 in Milan.
2016
- December – Dario Ciarlantini Italian coordinator SCAE comes to Almaty and Astana as an SCAE official observer to check the training conducted by our trainers.
2018
- January – Visit of Dan King employees to Italy for coffee training and sales.
- June – Opening of new office in Kokshetau.
- June – Employee of Dan King was awarded the title of FABBRI brand ambassador, the first in the CIS, certified by a training for the Mixibar brand at the factory of Fabbri, a manufacturer of high-quality syrups from natural ingredients.
- July – Opening of new office in Taraz.
- September –Of September Dan King hosted exciting culinary training sessions for cooking Neapolitan and Roman pizza from “5 stagioni” special flour, in Almaty and Astana
2019
- March – From 29/03 to 06/04 April, Dan King gave the series of master classes on the use of Fabbri products
- March – March 27 and 28 in Almaty, Dan King organized the first conference of official distributors of LOACKER products from Central Asia.
- April - Opening of new office in Kostanay
- May - Planned visit of Mr. Dario Charlantini, Italian coordinator and SCA official representative, to Almaty in order to training of the skills improving of current SCA trainers working at Dan King LLP in Almaty and Nur-Sultan
- September – from 16 to 23 September, the company "Dan king" held regular culinary trainings on cooking pizza from special flour "5 stagioni", which were aimed at practical training and professional development for experienced professionals and beginners pizzaiolo. The events were held in Almaty and Nur Sultan.

- September – Ten employees of our company have passed the last test and received a licenses of AST trainers from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Now we have ten authorized trainers on our staff who have the right to train to anyone in four areas in different level courses according to SCA standards.
